Android’s latest build, Nougat, or Android version 7.0, was unveiled only a month back and usually Google announces the official version of Android with its Nexus family in late September or early October. In fact, Google I/O 2016 was also held only three months back which allows developers to improve upon the next Android build.
However, according to Evan Blass, who goes by the name evleaks, has tweeted that Android Nougat 7.0 will be coming to Android devices on 5th August, along with this month’s security patch.
Android 7.0 releases next month, with the 8/5 security patch. Sorry Nexus 5 owners, no Nougat for you

You should treat this information with a pinch of salt, because an August upgrade seems highly unlikely considering the lack of time developers have in their hands. Although the last and final build of developer preview of Android N was released last month, so it is decently probable that Google is releasing the newest version.
Evleaks is known to have leaked quite accurate information before, so while we cannot still believe it, we cannot discard it altogether. The tweet also says that Nexus 5 won’t be getting an upgrade, which was quite obvious since Nexus 5 didn’t get the developer preview of Android N.
this is something that everyone has been talking about, and something iOS doesn’t have yet. You can open an application on your Android smartphone without actually having it installed on the device, and yes it works as seamlessly as its app. You can free up your RAM by uninstalling apps you rarely use, and rather take advantage of instant apps.
Google is getting its own Siri, which we think would be better and more responsive. It should be able to enter your apps and run errands for you, like booking a cab, reading out an email, replying to text messages and booking movie tickets.
This is Google’s answer to virtual reality, and we’re super excited to check it out! It is not a hardware upgrade, rather a software upgrade that actually improves the virtual reality experience. Developers have been requested to create apps for using this software, while Google opens Google Movies and YouTube to daydream.
If you’re on Nexus 5X, Nexus 6 or Nexus 6P, you will be getting the Nougat experience very shortly, if evleaks is to be trusted. Do not be surprised if the upgrade does not come this early, since the expected date of launch is just four days away. Most other flagship smartphones should be getting the upgrade by as early as November, if all goes well.
Anyhow, this flavour of Android should be extremely thrilling and interesting with certain additions we have been waiting for since Lollipop.
