Introduction of Jio had brought about a storm in the telecom market. Earlier it launched a lucrative offer of unlimited free calling, free 4G data and messages till the 31st of December 2016, which was further extended till the 31st of March 2017. After 6 months of free-run, Mukesh Ambani might once again surprise you.
In last year December, Jio extended its free services for another three months till March 30 with Happy New Year Offer. Jio is offering free voice calls, SMS and 1GB of data per day. Now, a new report claim that users that get all these services till June 30th by paying just Rs 100 per month.
The Happy New Year Offer was commenced for all Jio users on 1st January 2017, with changing the FUP (Fair Usage Policy) to 1GB per day. Once users hit the FUP limit, they will be restricted to a max speed of 128 kbps. Earlier, Jio Welcome Offer has a Fair Usage Policy of 4GB per day.
According to the recent report, users will be able to enjoy free voice services even after the Happy New Year Offer expires on 30th March. They just have to pay for data services which are only Rs 100 per month. If it turns out to be true, it would be a major setback for other network providers which are still charging around Rs 200 for 2GB-4GB of 4G data even after slashing prices.
Recently, Jio has crossed 72 million plus subscribers which were at 50 million marks at the end of November last year. Lately, the call drop issue with Jio users is also improving to a great extent. As per the recent data provided by the company, the call failure rate has gone below 15% with Vodafone and Idea costumers.
