Xiaomi today officially launched Xiaomi Mi 6, the company’s latest flagship smartphone, at an event in China. The best part, it comes with dual cameras on the rear and Qualcomm’s latest high-end Snapdragon 835 octa-core chip.
Design-wise, the Xiaomi Mi 6 looks pretty similar to last year’s Mi 5, featuring a curved glass back and metal frame. It, however, doesn’t offer a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you were not expecting this to happen, you would be disappointed.
Enough about the design, let’s take a look its specs. The Xiaomi Mi 6 offers a 5.15-inch 1080p screen, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal memory. Another model is offering 128GB of built-in memory. You must have assumed it by now, yes, it runs Android Nougat with MIUI out of the box.
It’s a dual-SIM phone with two Nano SIM card slots. Furthermore, it houses 12-megapixel dual cameras on the rear with dual-tone LED flash, OIS, and 4K video recording. Up front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera in addition to an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi has included connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It packs in a 3,350mAh battery and comes in a variety of colours: Blue, Black, and Silver.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 costs 2,499 yuan (approx. Rs 23,420) for 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 128GB model costs 2,899 yuan (approx. Rs 27,195). The ceramic black model, on the other hand, costs 2,999 yuan (approx. Rs 28,135).
